 Srjan presents 30th Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra Award Festival Rabindra Mandap, 7pm September 5 - 11, 2024 Bhubaneswar August 30, 2024 "Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra Award Festival 2024" 30 years in the fulfilment of Art - Celebrating three decades of the Award Festival After 29 years of successfully hosting the Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra Award Festival, Srjan is poised to celebrate the milestone 30th edition in collaboration with Sri Sri University. This year, the event will be extended to a seven-day celebration, running from September 5 to 11, 2024. The festival pays tribute to the enduring legacy of Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra and his monumental role in elevating Odissi dance. It will showcase performances by renowned artists and honor distinguished figures in Dance, Theatre, Music, and Cinema, each receiving a citation and a cash prize of ₹100,000. To date, 66 luminaries have received this esteemed award. Additionally, the Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra Yuva Pratibha Samman will be presented to exceptionally talented young artists under 40 in classical dance and Odissi music, with each awardee receiving a citation and a cash prize of ₹25,000. Since its inception, 28 outstanding young performers have been recognized. This festival has grown into a premier cultural event in Odisha, earning high acclaim both across India and internationally.
