When the Shawns visited Mahabalipuram, Ted was inspired to compose the Dance of Siva, on cosmic dancer Nataraja, for which he got a huge brass ring of Shiva’s fire made in metal by a Calcutta foundry, at centre of which he stood himself and danced as Shiva Nataraja!
