The basic stance or
position in Sattriya from where all the dance numbers of Sattriya start
is called 'Ora,' and covers both hand and foot position. The entire Sattriya
dance form depends on five basic stances or positions – purush ora, prakriti
ora, phul ora, lahi ora and sama.
