The dancer's world - Radhika Prabhu, Bangalore e-mail: radhikaprbh@gmail.com September 6, 2011
The oceans quivering in the embrace of our arms; Like a surrealistic dream gently unfurled, It's a beautiful world; it's a dancer's world. Mysterious emotions, Haphazard meanings; Strange relations, Stranger feelings; Yet on and on we dance along, Through camouflaged tears behind the lights, Through pains, smiles, and sleepless nights. Like monsoon rain we drizzle on stage, Movements breathe, magic happens; Reds and blues, Yellows and greens, Stillness arches to a seven colored song, When we dancers just dance along. Radhika Prabhu is a dancer/choreographer, painter (Bachelor's degree in Visual Arts specializing in painting from Karnataka Chitrakala Parishat), and a published poet based in Bangalore. She has trained in Bharatanatyam from Gurus Shubha Dhananjay and Kiran Subramanyam. She is also training in Kathak, Contemporary, and Ballet (Yana Lewis). |
