I will be grateful if Padmaja Venkatesh or anybody else could give me at least one example where a modern "classical dance" guru caused a spiritual enlightment in his student that brought this student if not Moksha, at least a few Siddhis. An unheard-of case!

By the way, if my memory does not fail me, I recollect Chitra Visveswaran stating bluntly that the use of the word "guru" in the modern context of classical Indian dance is out of place. Didn't she say, "We are not gurus, but just dance instructors", something like that.

But of course, if there are computer gurus, finance gurus, there are classical Indian dance gurus too. What a world!
