In the UK the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (IST) has developed a syllabus for teachers. This syllabus can give you ideas for (the order of) items to learn, warming up and cooling down, etc.
Besides the syllabus, the ISTD offers the possibility to purchase a video (VHS format) for Kathak teachers and a Audio CD which you can use for classes. I am not sure whether you are able to play the video, but maybe the syllabus and CD can be of some help; the ISTD ships overseas.
