Paheli did not deserve to be nominated from India in the first place then how can we feel bad about not being nominated in the final list. This does not mean that Paheli was a bad film but it was not as good as other films that were left out ... Swades, Black. I understand Black had some issues in terms of similarity in content to other US films but Swades was totally new and depicted the real India ... something which always escapes the American eye. Moreoever that movie itself leads to a lot of introspection about our apathy towards our country.
