I am a bharatanatyam dance teacher,performer and choreographer.After trying to stand in this field for about 6years now,i have found that it is quite a difficult task for an artist to gather funds/sponsors to stage a show.I have observed that the well established artists donot have such difficulties good for them!.The sabhas pay very less amounts for a performance.I wonder how an artist who is living just on arts will survive?I know many of you would say he/she will teach and earn his/her living but i personally donot think it is that easy to live on arts.I would like all of you to give your opinions on this.I am asking this just out of curiosity to know different views.Thak you.
