thanks for the extensive list of qualities of the BEST dancer. TOday there is no complete dancer who combines the musicality and rigour of dancers like Kamala and Yamini. They were my ideals and represented an era when the relationship between teacher and student was vibrant and mutually stimulating. Today most of the younger star dancers have forged their own paths, leaving gurus or any senior mentoring "eye" for the sake of newness or just in order to take charge of their own creative process. So all the qualities you mentioned become mere words on paper.. finally what remains in the audiences mind is not the grace, or stamina or whatever you have described but that X FACTOR quality that makes you want to return to watch that dancer again. and again.. and again..

you sound passionately in love with dance.. keep the faith..
