 One cannot make such a sweeping statement about NRIs lacking cultural senstivity and/or appreciation. It may not be the overwhelming majority of NRIs, but there are a handful of organizations that cater to the needs of those who appreciate classical Indian art forms by hosting programs and sponsoring tours. In addition, there are a number of dancers and musicians that work very hard and put up quality programs from time to time. And some of these professionals have settled in the US for their career and for a better life (NOT a materialistic one), and also double as busy professionals in Indian classical arts on weekends and weekday evenings. We must give credit where it is rightfully due.
