 Kalakshetra is definetely a wonderful place to visit in Chennai. It's basically the head office of bharatanatyam! Its also a wonderful experience to visit because they take you on a tour around the campus, and let you watch a few minutes of a class session. They also have the Rukmini Devi museum which is a must see.
