REVIEW / REPORTPrasiddha Repertory presents 'Rashta Yajna'August 28, 2026 Celebrated dancer and choreographer Dr. Prathibha Prahlad was invited by the Government of the Russian Federation to present her group Prasiddha Repertory at the first Sirius Rosa-Khutor International Arts Festival for youth on 15th August 2026, India's National Day, on the directive of President Vladimir Putin. The festival took place at the Sirius Federal Territory and Rosa Khutor mountain resort in Sochi, Russia.   Prathibha Prahlad presented 'Rashtra Yajna', choreographed with 10 Bharatanatyam dancers and 8 musicians all between 20 and 30 years of age at this festival. The group of dancers and musicians were from Bengaluru. The same performance was presented in New Delhi on the 21st of August and received a standing ovation from a very eminent audience. Among those present were senior BJP statesman Dr. Murli Manohar Joshi, Director General of ICCR Nandini Singla, Vice Chairman of Pradhan Mantri Karyalaya Dr. A . Suryaprakash, spouse of the Ambassador of Russia to India Diana Alipova, cultural counsellor of Russia Yulia Arayeva, Ambassador Pavan Varma and others.   'Rashtra Yajna' was an offering-where every step becomes service, every beat an act of dedication to the Nation. In this sacred continuum, dance transcends performance and becomes a living invocation of India's eternal consciousness. Each movement unfurls the vast tapestry of a civilisation that stretches across millennia - resilient, evolving, yet rooted in timeless truths. This was not merely a recital, but a yajna - a sacred offering where the artiste, the art, and the audience come together in reverence of a Nation that is not just geography, but a living, breathing civilisation. The performance culminated in Vande Mataram, a stirring homage to the motherland. It is an ode of reverence and pride, where dance transforms into a powerful expression of love for the nation, celebrating its spirit, beauty, and enduring unity. |
