It was the day for Mandira - A Saga of Temple Arts Dance Festival to take place in the Art of Living centre in BTM layout in Bangalore in collaboration with Anandi Arts Foundation. Dr. Vandana Kasaravalli headed this event where she burnt the midnight oil to deck up this space and welcome the artists. ![]() Darshan Shankar A variety of items were about to be performed, exploring the different phases of Lord Ganapati travelling on his under-sized vehicle of the mouse, an ashtapadi of Radha's viraha which meant the separation in spring season which is making her feel dejected without Lord Krishna and Hanuman showing his intense love and devotion to Lord Rama and Seetha Mata. The music in these items performed by the highly talented Darshan Shankar energized his dance and made it a more enjoyable experience for the audience. The spectators squealed with excitement and Darshan received a standing ovation for his mesmerizing performance. The Anandi girls too gave an impeccable performance, dancing and twirling so well with the rhythms and choreographed movements. The chief guests for the event were Radhika Makaram, Soumya Rangaswamy and Barnalee Sarkar. The MC, Revathi K, kept the commentary relatable to the viewers and shared a brief on the performances. All the people who were gathered in a good number felt like there is no place like this centre anywhere else because what this program gave them were memorable moments dipped in sheer passion for the temple arts of India. The whole program was meticulously planned by Dr. Vandana Kasaravalli and all the accomplishments were worthy of praise. No stone was left unturned by her to make it into a successful venture for the centre. Soon, there will be Odissi, Kathak, Bharatanatyam and music classes which will commence at this centre and to participate in them, make sure to contact Dr. Vandana Kasaravalli.
