 Prayathnam celebrates its 16th Anniversary April 7, 2024 The continuing journey of Prayathnam has now crossed 16 years of remarkable commitment and the celebration of this milestone anniversary was held at the Dakshinamoorthy auditorium, Chennai, on the 31st of March. After years of sincere effort and continual engagement, the organization proudly announced the achievement of Prayathnam to have officially launched 3 courses of accreditation affiliated to the Tamilnadu Dr.J.Jayalalithaa Music and Fine Arts University. The certified Diploma courses are now offered across Bharatanatyam, Nattuvangam, The Teachers Certification Course, and also extends to the Grade exams. The batch of entrants to the certified courses will take their examinations in May of 2024.   The most recent issue of the popular newsletter 'Madal' was released on the occasion and in 2024, the publication appeared in its new digital avatar having transformed itself into an 'e- magazine' which can now be accessed through the Prayathnam website. The digital avatar of 'Madal' will now offer a far wider global reach and access which is a great positive and useful to Prayathnam members and supporters worldwide. The event of the anniversary commenced with the recitation of slokas from the syllabus of the 'Yathnam' examinations. Students of various levels came together under the able supervision of members from the executive and working committees under the supervision of the Core committee. This was followed by an interesting lecture demonstration on the group choreography of 'Spanda' by eminent dancer Leela Samson. The session was inspiring along with a clear and distinct style of presentation.  The official Annual Activities Report for the year was then presented to the audience. Following that, all students who took up the 'Yathnam' examinations received their individual certificates and the performance toppers received individual recognition. Students then had opportunities for photographs with their teachers and the chief guest. Various committees were then acknowledged for their tireless work and dedication. The event concluded with a vote of thanks and the national anthem - marking the end of yet another year of sincere commitment and notable progress. |
