From Cambodia, the sisters with group left for Vietnam and on 12/12/22 (a rare date), Nalini –Kamalini presented lecture-cum-demonstration in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC). It was a unique experience for the aspiring youth and the 2 hour demonstration was applauded by a jam-packed auditorium. Most of the students wanted more workshops and showed keen interest when they learnt about the magic of Kathak dance and Nalini-Kamalini's research on relation of dance with yoga and therapeutic value of dance. The next day, again a 90 minute compact concert at HCMC University was much appreciated by the student community and on 14th December, the group performed at Ba Ria Vung Tau Province. They were so popular by then that due to the earlier two concerts, the audience moved from city to city to watch the Indian dance again. The program was graced by M. Madan Mohan Sethi and other politicians and mayor of the province. Sending such artistes do India proud and help foster best cultural relations. |
