 Alaknanda
performs in Poland August 21,
2010 Alaknanda performed
at the Wawel Castle, Krakow, Poland. She presented Kathak at the Cracovia
Dance Festival from 24th July 2010 to 2nd August 2010. The theme of the
Festival was the Legendary Masters of Dance and Alaknanda chose her Master
SHAMBHU MAHARAJ. She introduced the Guru Purnima Puja at the festival on
the auspicious day of 25th July at the opening of the exhibition - Masters
of Dance. The artistes were so moved with the rituals and bonding that
they called their own masters to pay their respects. Alaknanda conducted
Kathak workshops for the international students and they performed the
Guru Vandana at the finale of the workshop. Her troupe Sanskriti performed
Holi, Tarana and Panchtava at the Villa Decius, Renaissance Castle and
at the Krakow Square.Alaknanda's
depiction of Durga, duet with Romana Agnel, Spanish Doll Dance and Panchtava
were highly appreciated by the audience.
