Divyanjali
School of Dance, Chennai, headed by artistic director S Divyasena, participated
in the All India Multi-Lingual Drama, Dance, Music Contest / Fest 'Bhava
Raga Tal' organised by Akhil Bharatiya Sanskrutik Sangh, Pune from 21st
May to 30th May 2008. Divyasena was conferred the NRITYA SADHANA PURASKAR
for her achievements and commendable effort in training nearly thirty-five
students exclusively for this particular event.
Many of the young
talents of Divyanjali won prizes for their outstanding performances in
various categories namely Classical Dance - Bharatanatyam, Semi-Classical,
Folk Dance and secured many first and second positions for the same. Divyanjali's
group and solo presentations in classical and folk categories were well
received by a large gathering assembled at the Bal Gandharva Rang Mandir
and Tilak Smarak Mandir, Pune.
The following
are the names of the young talents, who won the prizes in Classical, Semi
– Classical and Folk in the categories of Solo, Dual and Group.
