Shambhavi School of Dance presents 10th edition of Nayika Indian Institute of World Culture, 5pm March 27, 2026 Bengaluru March 20, 2026 ![]() Shambhavi School of Dance presents the10th edition of Nāyika, a dance festival celebrating Womanhood. A brainchild of Vyjayanthi Kashi, Nāyika is not just a festival, it is an experience of the feminine voice through dance. Nāyika 2026 is scheduled to happen on 27th March (Friday) at Indian Institute of World Culture (IIWC), B.P Wadia Road, Bengaluru from 5pm to 8.30 pm. For the very first time, this year's festival features an Abhinaya Workshop: A triple lens experience (5pm to 6:15pm) where three dynamic and accomplished dancers from three distinct classical traditions come together on one platform to teach, interpret, and celebrate a single composition on Nāyika. This unique 75-minute immersive Abhinaya workshop will be conducted by Padmini Ravi (Bharatanatyam), Vyjayanthi Kashi (Kuchipudi) and Sharmila Mukerjee (Odissi). What makes this special? In just 75 minutes, participants will learn, experience, and embody the Nayika discovering how the same sahitya transforms through varied aesthetics and emotional landscapes. Whether you are an invested dance student, a young performer, or someone who simply loves Abhinaya or Dance, this is your space to explore. Learn it. Perform it. Own it.
