Aalaap presents
Sthira
October 6 - 18, 2025 Chennai

October 2, 2025

Aalaap celebrates its 13th year in October 2025. To mark this milestone, Aalaap presents STHIRA - a 13-day-long festival of performances and conversations.

The festival unfolds through the voices of artistes who have shared a close journey with Aalaap, offering works that reflect stillness and movement, depth and expansiveness. Sthira embodies Aalaap's own journey - rooted in the constant, yet alive to the dynamic - mirroring the ever-evolving world of the arts.

Chennai has always been special to Aalaap - offering a home, grounding and the backdrop against which so many of their collaborations and conversations have taken place. It is with this intention that Sthira will take place across spaces in Chennai that have been part of the journey of Aalaap over the years.
