 Geeta Chandran celebrates 50 years of dance Kamani Auditorium, 7pm October 24 & 25, 2024 New Delhi October 13, 2024 It was on 25 October 1974, when Geeta Chandran (then Ramakrishnan), a girl of 12, took centrestage presenting her arangetram under the watchful eye of her first Guru, Swarna Saraswati. This year marks a unique anniversary; 50 YEARS SINCE HER ARANGETRAM.  Fifty years of constant engagement with all aspects of dance: Performance, teaching and related pedagogy, choreography, writing and speaking out. To celebrate this momentous anniversary, she is presenting a 2-day extravaganza. Oct 24: PRAVAHATI by Natya Vriksha Collective presenting choreographies of Geeta Chandran Oct 25: Solo by Geeta Chandran At: Kamani Auditorium, New Delhi On both evenings, the event will begin at 7pm and conclude at 9pm.
