Alluding from Adi Shankara's Mathru panchakam and Brihadaranyaka Upanishad, it explores their profound connection. The sound of the universe, Omkara consists of the chanting of AUM which is made up of Akara, Ukara and Makara. These are woven together as a tapestry of beauty and wisdom through a traditional Mallari. Drawing inspiration from scriptures, ancient texts, and philosophical contexts, the production shines a spotlight in the form of a Bhumanjali on the position of karma Bhoomi or Mother Earth among the 14 worlds and as the form of Gayatri, described in the Srimad Bhagavatam, and Mandukya Upanishad highlighting the protection and significance of Mother Earth as a nurturing and life-giving force. At the heart of the production lies the exploration of the interconnectedness of the 18 faced rudraksha invoking Mother Earth and all existence and the intricate web of Mother's love that binds us all. It delves into the awe-inspiring power of the Maheswara Sutrani, the sacred sounds of the damaru that create, maintain, regulate, and ultimately dissolve the Universe. Shiva invokes Mother Earth through his cosmic dance, reminding us of the cyclical nature of existence through time and space. Ardhanareeshvara symbolizes male and female principles. Sthiti and Gati - Stillness and Movement. The male half stands for Purusha and female half is Prakriti. It conveys Shiva Shakti Swaroopa through Pathanjali's hymn, lending itself to the aspect of prosperity- Mahalakshmi and fertility- Bhuma Devi. The profound interconnectedness of Earth, water, plants, animals, and human life is recognized, emphasizing that we are all integral parts of creation's grand design. The Universal giver Kamadhenu is surviving on one leg in Kaliyuga, the last leg of survival. The production strives to highlight the episode of Lord Varaha rescuing Bhooma Devi - Mother Earth, Lord's description, Stuti, and Worship. The Lord's message from Shrimad Bhagavatham quotes, "Whenever there is decay of righteousness, and there is the exaltation of unrighteousness, then I come forth" - reminds us of our responsibility to protect and preserve the planet for future generations. It brings us to the descent of Andal, born as Godha Devi, the gift of earth, spreading bhakti as propounded by Varaha Murthy. The presentation espouses the Navavidha bhakti of Andal through the Thiruppavai compilation of devotional poems sung by her. Through a Swara Thillana, 'MAA- the Eternal Truth' celebrates the love and protection of one's Mother and Mother Earth. It weaves together ancient texts, philosophy, and spirituality to create a tapestry of reverence and gratitude. It calls for a deepening of our connection with the natural world and recognition of the profound interconnectedness that binds us all. Through this celebration, the presentation attempts to remind one of the exalted positions of one's Mother; preserve and cherish the Earth, ensure the flourishing of life on our precious planet. The hidden feminine Shakti – Maa, inherent in nature, nurtures her children with compassion to fructify as the Mother Earth to that Mother- Maa - victory to you!
