 Art Vision presents Remembering Guruji Utkal Rangamanch, 7pm April 7, 2023 Bhubaneswar March 29, 2023 Art Vision in collaboration with Odissi Research Centre is organizing REMEMBERING GURUJI on the occasion of the 19th death anniversary of the legendary Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra. On this particular day every year senior students of Guruji share the stage to offer a humble tribute to him by dancing some of his immortal masterpieces. This year the participant dancers are Debasrita Mohanty (Itu), Ileana Citaristi, Mohan Bode, Pranati Mohanty (Leena), Sikata Das and Sujata Mohapatra. Each of the dancers is going to present one ashtapadi from Jayadeva’s Geeta Govinda choreographed by the Guru himself. The evening will conclude with all the dancers performing Mokshya together as an act of final surrender at the Guru’s feet. The evening is also an occasion for recollecting anecdotes and memories of the wonderful days of interacting with the Master during the long period of training under him.
