The 18th edition of the DRISHTI NATIONAL DANCE FESTIVAL 2023 celebrating Indian dance forms will be held on Saturday, 21st January, 5:30pm, at Chowdiah Memorial Hall, Bengaluru.

A consistently successful event since its inception, the Drishti National Dance Festival (the brainchild of Bharatanatyam and Bharatanrityam dancer AnuradhaVikranth and her husband T.M. Vikranth) is now a benchmark for all dance festivals in the country having steadily gained renown for stellar performances by world-class artistes, creative presentations, pioneering publicity and overwhelming houseful audiences.

PROGRAMME
The 18th Drishti National Dance Festival is being presented as a tribute to the legend and doyen of Indian dance, Dr Padma Subrahmanyam - the theme of the festival is SAMARPAN. As the direct disciple of Dr. Padma Subrahmanyam, Anuradha Vikranth has hallmarked the 18th Drishti National Dance festival as a celebration of the 80th year of her Guru. Some of the stellar classical dancers of our country have been invited to present performances in acclamation of Dr. Padma Subrahmanyam’s life and work.

Drishti Art Foundation
Established by Bharatanatyam dancer Anuradha Vikranth and her husband T.M. Vikranth from Bengaluru, Drishti Art Foundation is dedicated to nurturing, promoting and propagating classical arts.

Lines of activities of ‘Drishti’
  • Drishti Art Centre: headed by Bharatanatyam and Bharatanrityam dancer Anuradha Vikranth currently trains several aspiring students in Bharatanatyam. Marga Drishti - Under this wing of the centre she also imparts training in the movement vocabulary of Natyasastra - a pedagogy conceived and reconstructed by her Guru Dr. Padma Subrahmanyam.
  • Drishti Dance Ensemble is a performing unit of Drishti and also a platform to promote young talented dancers.
  • Drishti National Dance Festival organized annually since 2006, brings together established as well as fresh talents from various forms of classical dances every year, from across the country. The festival is noted for creative presentations, stellar performances, pioneering publicity and overwhelming audiences
  • Drishti Art Foundation is a trust working for the upliftment of the society through Arts and supports needy artistes through art and culture.
  • Drishti Media is a unit offering complete designing and printing solutions.
  • Drishti with others: Organises workshops, seminars, lecture demonstrations and so on in collaboration with other cultural organizations to promote classical arts.
