A 13 year old girl SM Suvetha studying in Std VIII at the St. Philomena Higher Secondary School in Trichy (Tamilnadu, India) presented a Bharatanatyam recital at a function organized by Indian Bank's Tiruverumbur branch on July 29, 2006. She belongs to the narikorava or traditional gypsy community.

When re-structuring of the Odissi repertoire was made complete with the codified technique, on behalf of the Jayantika, we presented the first lecture demonstration, followed by a full program on 14th September 1959 at Narisangha Sadan, Cuttack.
