‘Chandramoulishwara Kuravanji’ in Gujarati language was written, produced and composed by Anjali Merh, a disciple of Rukmini Devi in 1977. This is the first ever Kuravanji written in Gujarati.

‘Sarabhendra Bhoopala Kuravanji’ was composed in praise of King Serfoji of Thanjavur written by court poet Kottaiyur Sivakozhundu Desikar. For a long time, the ‘Sarabhendra Bhoopala Kuravanji’ was considered a property of Thanjavur palace and no one was permitted to perform it. It was R.K Shanmugham Chetty, one time president of Tamil Isai Sangam who had this stipulation removed. In 1950, the Tamil Isai Sangam produced it in Madras with Balasaraswati playing the role of Kurathi.
