| A 4-day Intensive Kathak Residential Workshop With Guru Prerana Deshpande Nov 19 - 22, 2026 Pune Those who have witnessed Prerana Deshpande’s dance will recognise her keen eye for detail, sensitivity to the nuances of the art form, deep-rooted aesthetics, command over Laya-Taal and creativity in composition. This four-day intensive is an opportunity to go beyond learning compositions and develop a deeper understanding of Kathak.  What you will explore: Taal Basant: A rich repertoire of compositions culminating in a complete Taal presentation. Abhinaya: A solo piece with an emphasis on expression, subtlety and the aesthetic sensibilities of Kathak. Musical Composition: A piece to understand the nuances of Kathak’s musicality and eventually present independently. Beyond the Dance Classroom Each day begins with a rejuvenating Yoga session amidst nature, followed by a full day of learning, understanding and practicing Kathak. The experience also involves meaningful conversation around dance, music, art and aesthetics.
