Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Bangalore, launches Karnataka Nritya Parampara – Bharatanatya 3 year Diploma Program Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Bangalore, the premier institution for propagation of Indian culture, recognized by Government of India as ‘Institution of National Eminence’ launches a 3 years Diploma Program in Karnataka Nritya Parampara - Bharathanatya, nurtured for over 300 years in pristine form, taught and rendered by the exponents amidst Gurukula environment. Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan confers the performance oriented, 3 year Diploma Program in Karnataka classical dance tradition of Bharathanatya preserved in the form of four surviving paramparas - Mysore, Kolar, Mugur and Nanjanagudu. The course aims at introducing the rich heritage, genuine dance and music compositions belonging to the parampara to the present generation of dancers. Legendary Gurus / professional dancers / teachers / choreographers will be the 12 member faculty, who are the repositories of the Karnataka Nritya Parampara belonging to the forum - Karnataka Bharathagama Prathistana, an unique organisation striving to bring back the proud place of importance to the Karnataka classical dance tradition.
