The 16th edition of the DRISHTI NATIONAL DANCE FESTIVAL celebrating Indian dance forms will be held on Saturday, 20th March 2021, 5.30pm onwards at Chowdiah Memorial Hall, Bengaluru. A consistently successful event since its inception, the Drishti National Dance Festival (the brainchild of Bharatanatyam dancer Anuradha Vikranth and her husband T M Vikranth) is now a benchmark for all dance festivals in Bengaluru, having steadily gained renown for creative presentations, stellar performances, pioneering publicity and overwhelming audiences.

Lyrics / Sahithya is the very soul of every dance and music performance which enables one to experience varied emotions. The 16th edition of the festival will feature "Kavi Namana" presenting tribute to the great poets / vaggeyakara of our country.

Venue: Chowdiah Memorial Hall, Vyalikaval, Bengaluru
Time: 5.30pm
All are welcome.

The festival will feature some of the fine artistes of our country in different genres of Indian classical dance styles such as Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi,, Kathak and Mohiniattam.

Drishti Art Foundation
Established by Bharatanatyam dancer Anuradha Vikranth and her husband T M Vikranth, Drishti Art Foundation is dedicated to nurturing, promoting and propagating classical arts.

Lines of activities of Drishti
  • Drishti Art Centre: headed by AnuradhaVikranth currently trains several aspiring students in Bharatanatyam.

  • Drishti Dance Ensemble is a performing unit of Drishti and also a platform to promote young talented dancers.

Anuradha Vikranth
Based in Bangalore, Anuradha Vikranth is trained in Bharatanatyam by Nirupama and Guru Narmada. Under Dr. Padma Subrahmanyam, Anuradha has undergone intensive training in 'Karanas' and the elements of Natyasastra. She holds a Master's Degree in Bharatanatyam from Sastra University, Tamil Nadu. Presently, she is continuing her academic pursuit of Ph.D in the field of dance. She is an 'A' graded artist of Doordarshan.

She is the Academic Council Member of Karnataka state Dr. Gangubai Hangal Music and Performing Arts University. She is currently the secretary of World Dance Alliance-Karnataka Chapter. Anuradha is the founder and director of 'Drishti Art Centre', a premier dance institute, where she imparts training in Bharatanatyam to several aspiring students. She along with her husband, T M Vikranth, is the architect of the annual Drishti National Dance festival since 2006.
