Aditi Mangaldas Dance Company - The Drishtikon Dance Foundation turns 30! To celebrate this journey, there will be a series of events every month.
Supported by the British Council and presented in partnership with Abheri Roots.
A series of 5 films on dramaturgy, light design, music composition, mentorship and rehearsal directorship in the realm of dance, IMPERFECT CIRCLE has been curated by dancer and choreographer Aditi Mangaldas.
The films capture conversations between five international guest speakers, and twenty-seven acclaimed young Indian dancers, who weave new dimensions of thought and approaches to the current dance scenario and unravel the power within collaborations.
IMPERFECT CIRCLE is a series of dialogues between dancers and collaborators. Dance like life, is an imperfect circle - and yet at its centre is the perfect point... the infinite... the point that offers infinite possibilities of making the imperfect circle of dance a little more perfect. Collaborations have helped me discover many textured entries into my dance, by helping me to unravel multiple circles within the Imperfect Circle.
