 can anyone tell me the original dance based on bharata's natya sastra, that was practiced and performed by urvasi, menaka, rambha,tilottama etc? as all the present dance forms are a branch out from that natya sastra.
i think, when natya sastra was written, karanas were meant to be the the basic adavus, but now the karanas are more simplified to adavus. like adavus mature to karanas mature to jatis mature to items. also can somebody recommend me a book which is the closest to the original natya sastra?
