 The Johns Hopkins University's premier classical dance group, Shakti, is
planning to hold an exhibition show this Fall semester (2007) in
Baltimore, MD, featuring collegiate dance teams from across the
country. The goal of this event is to bring together young Indian-
Americans with a common interest in classical dance so that we may
learn from each other and continue to share our vibrant and rich
culture with others through the medium of traditional Indian dance.
Though we are still in the planning stages, we intend to make this a
benefit event (charity suggestions welcome).

Interested persons should e-mail umesh@jhu.edu with their name,
contact info, and some background info about their dance team. Please
note that this is an invitation to only those groups practicing classical
Indian dance (any form). Sorry, no fusion or bollywood.
