It's like dance-critics all over the world who write about dance. Most of them have no practical knowledge of the dance whatsoever. They would never recognise an incorrect adavu or step even if they saw it. It's all just theory.

There is _no_ evidence that Bharata had practical dance knowledge. He merely wrote a book about dance in the way a travel writer like Marco Polo wrote *about* the places he visited. As an observer - nothing more.
