What is your goal, Sheela? Are you trying to highlight that people's standards of artistic taste are falling?
And are you trying to point out that art has to be approached with spirit and feeling instead of the mind and over analysis kills the beauty of arts?
or are you trying to say that we should all follow only one person's opinion or the majority view of good art since it is not subject to personal taste?
Or are you saying that Indians who move to West lose their taste?
or that if we each form an artistic opinion different from yours, you feel uncomfortable and think poorly of our taste? it seems like you interpreted my comments like i do not like Medha's dance... i have the deepest respect for Anita Guha ji's and her student's work.
or that you want to educate us on religion, and how we are transformed in Kali yuga and take to extreme works that are displayed in name of art? Please clarify..
My goal was to reiterate that if some dancers do not have an opportunity to perform, then it is quite sad as we might be missing out on good/better/great art. Further, my goal was to highlight that there are groups of hereditary non bhramin dancers but indeed they are lesser known. Whether you like their art or not, is your personal opinion that i totally respect it.
