For me, in Mumbai, the only links to MUSIC SEASON were the supplements that came thrice a week with the Hindu. Though those reviews seemed quite frank, sometimes, I used to get this strange feeling that some of the performances were either overtly praised or overtly panned.

It was interesting to read the write-up in Narthaki too. As Vinod II said, it was indeed very honest and the no-nonsense style was a welcome change from generally sappy reviews that drip praise over the performer, regardless of whether he/she deserves it or not.
