Shruti, I think that your criteria can be roughly grouped into
1. purely technical perfection (formal technique)
2. entertaining aspect (mere attention-grabbing, clowns do it well)
3. enchanting and spiritually elevating aspect
For most rasikas (who are not dancers or critics) which aspect is the most important?
Myself, I love watching children in the 10-14 age range: they may have little technical perfection, but I am yet to see any older dancer who would keep their performances as enchanting, as pure, as natural, spontaneous and spiritually elevating as when they were children.
I am sorry to say that, but by the age of 30 almost any dancer will lose at least 90% of all facial expressions that were there when the dancer was younger.
