 Thanks, Vinod. I am aware of those gurus but don't think they are options for me (for reasons better left unsaid). My family just bought an apartment in Chennai, so I figure I can stay there for a block of time, when I'm off from college, and see if I can study with Seetharama Sharma (I have heard of him and his institution before). I'll definitely look into that book you recommended when I'm in Chennai. Thanks again.
