  Abhinava Dance CompanyTour of USA, UK & Canada August 4 - September 3, 2012 July 29, 2012 Nirupama and Rajendra, a dynamic dancing couple from Bangalore have over the years created a wave of excitement on the Indian dance scene. With their own wordwide successful dance company ‘Abhinava Dance Company’ firmly established as one of India’s most popular and cutting-edge, the duo have been credited with injecting a great deal of innovation, creativity, enthusiasm and imagination to Kathak. They have nurtured their skills in Kathak and choreography under eminent gurus Dr. Maya Rao, Kumudini Lakhia, Pt Arjun Mishra in India and Nahid Siddiqui in Pakistan. Nirupama also learnt Bharatanatyam under Guru Narmada, abhinaya crom Guru Kalanidhi Narayan and Natya Sastra vocabularies from Sundari Santhanam. Rooted in the Indian dance tradition of Kathak and Bharatanatyam, Abhinava Dance Company founded in 1994 is constantly exploring new creative ways of bringing out the true essence of Indian dance. It has evolved its own distinct style of presentation by fusing ethnic and modern genres of dancing. Its musical compositions are a confluence of traditional Indian classical music with a wide range of global music that includes Jazz, Spanish and World Music. Each dance composition is carefully crafted with intricate detailing in synchronization, choreography patterns, thematic costumes and suitable light and stage effects. Abhinava Dance Company has a diverse repertoire of work under its extensive portfolio, combining the best of the East and the West. The Company has performed to packed audiences across India, Europe, America, Africa and the Middle East. Abhinava Dance Company is also deeply aware of its corporate social responsibility.
